We offer you the possibility to fly fish for grayling and many species of wild trout and related species, including those unique to the region like the Marble trout and Danube grayling. Alternatively, if stalking is your interest, we can offer stalking for muflon, chamois, red or roe deer, boar, Siberian roe deer and Eurasian ibex. For winged game there is sport in abundance ranging from traditional driven pheasant to walked-up partridge or quail and flighted duck.

Fishing

Waters run over clear substrates and at other times over dark rocks and criss-cross mountain meadows before opening out on to lower wider waters. Fly life in abundance and miles of unrestricted fishing mean you can wander at will. Fish fast mountain streams or wider flowing rivers with dry fly, streamers or nymph.

Hunting

Lodges at altitude give access to revirs (estates) made up of coniferous or mixed woodland with rocky outcrops : great views of a savage yet beautiful environment. Stalking at this altitude can be a challenging and memorable experience made the more exciting by the elusive nature of quarry such as chamois. Closer to home in feel, lowland lodges surrounded by gentler landscapes of fields and conifer plantations offer plenty of sporting opportunities such as driven pheasant and roe stalking.

By contrast, staying on the steppe in a yurt (a traditional round felt tent), eating local delicacies and striking out for a stalk with limitless sky around you has an exoticism to it few stalking experiences can match. Access to stalking grounds is made either by vehicle and then on foot or on horse back, for which some riding knowledge is useful but not essential. This provides an unrivalled way of seeing the terrain and getting in close to game.
